I had/have to use very different techologies and need to deal with SupCom (my favorite game this time). And so the tool was on the way to become more and more features.įor those of you that havnt skiped the intro let me say: For me this project is for learning purposes. The addon Forged Alliance is released since Nov 2007. I gained access to the Forged Alliance Beta. Now Weapsonsb Version Chooser displays a lot of information about the replay too. Time flies very fast since i started working on this tool. This tool should show a lot of information from the replay and the possibility to search for specific properties. So the next step was a GUI application around it. So the idea was born: a version chooser that can automatically detect the needed version from the replay file, activate it, and run the replay in SupCom.īut i still had to give meaningful names to the replay (including map and other details), so i was able to find a specific replay later again. But i noticed that replays from the current version can be started by simply double clicking the replay in the explorer anywhere on my harddisk. All replays needed to stay in the supcom replay folder so i can select them from within the in-game replay list.
I need to know from which version the replay was. But then i noticed that there were many drawbacks. After I started studying replays I was very happy that it is possible to view replays older than the current patch version of Supreme Commander.
